THE VICIOUS SNAKE
This isn't just a story, it's a parable.
It leaves us with this question....
"Should we stop doing or being good? "
There was a kind hearted woman who lived in an iceland.
One snowy day she wanted to get something outside her house.
On coming out of her house, she saw a vicious snake. The snake was almost frozen by the heavy snow of the day.
Take me in kind hearted woman, please take me in; said the vicious snake.
No, I can't take you in, You're a snake: said the woman.
Please I won't hurt you, I swear it...said the vicious snake.
No, I can't. ..said the kind hearted woman.
I'll die if you leave me here, please take me in i beg you...said the vicious snake.
Uuhhmm.......
The woman took it in out of pity.
While they got in, the woman said to the vicious snake 'You're beautiful.' And she scrolled her hand smoothly on the tough shiny skin of the snake.
But the snake Instead of just saying 'thanks' in appreciation and maybe walk away, " gave her a #VICIOUS bite."
I saved your life and now You've bitten me. You know your bite is poisonous...cried the kind hearted woman.
But You knew I was a snake, why did you save me?
It's my nature, I can't help bitting you...said the snake.
......the woman died.
......
......
Now this is our world today.
.......
.....
They promised never to hurt you but they still did.
They begged you for money and promised to repay as soon as they get it. But they never did.
They offended you and returned asking for forgiveness and you forgave but they used it as an opportunity to undo you.
Sometimes when you are too good, you give a lot, care a lot, and love a lot, all you get in the end is heart break and disappointment.
But,
However it may be, the question is "should we stop doing or/and being good? ??????"
Hear what the #holybook has to say "be not wary in well doing for in due Times, you shall receive your reward".
